Travel theme: Art

Another theme this week and for me… another place to show you🙂 It is all about art… and where is in Stockholm that you could find a display of a great art?

My answer will be… Skansen!

Why? Because in this open air museum, you could see many forms of art. Art that are shown from many different times in live, from year 1700 to modern time. But be prepare to have a long walk and of course don’t forget to bring your camera because you never know what will you find in this extraordinary place. Skansen is located in Djurgården, one of many islands that build Stockholm city. To go there, you could walk from the city center or you can take a train or bus. The fee is 100 Swedish kronor, it seems a bit expensive but trust me… it is worth of money🙂

I got myself a yearly card because I love this place so much. I could spent the whole day just to admiring a view in front of me or details that those ancestors put in their home. As in the one of the picture in the right side, I found this in one of the house. I love the shape and it told me a story about how artistic they were. I change the color of the photo to make it more dramatic🙂 I have been in this place thousand times but still there is always something new that I could find and capture every time I go there. This is one of my favorite places to take my friends who visit Stockholm, may I say like this… your visit to Stockholm doesn’t complete before you visit Skansen!😀

One of many form of arts that I love is the window that you can find in every single house. Each of them is fascinating to see and to shot. In my point of view, all of them are fantastic in their unique way. Those people who created them must be a talented one to be able to show different techniques and shapes of metal. It looks simple but as one said, simple is beautiful! I will go there again for sure, to capture another house, another view.

There is one area that reminds me of Flintstones movie, wooden tables and chairs😀 In a sunny day or any special occasion that held in here, you could find many people are having their picnic on these tables. I had my food many times there and… I love it!!!🙂 One of my suggestion for you who would like to visit here, take your own food and have it here while your eyes are spoiled with a beautiful view around you. These are another form of art that I never get bored about🙂 Pssstt… you know what?! Actually I would like to put more pictures about this lovely places but I’ll keep you in curiosity as I prepare my special Skansen album in my Facebook page, I’ll post it here as soon as it’s ready🙂

This is my interpretation of this week travel theme, let me know if you are in Stockholm… I would find a time and would be more than happy to take you to Skansen🙂
