Piuuuhhh finally I found a time to sit down and write a post to join the weekly challenge this week. Yes, I missed last week challenge 😦 but hey… I am back!!! 😀
Well… my first movement picture is taken when my P and I were in New York, last year. We went to Central Park and when I saw many bikers around the park, suddenly I would like to learn how to take picture with a panning technique. I had tried so many times and this is one of my best picture from that day, hmmm… not bad I guess 🙂
The other movement that I always want to capture is people are doing their passion in sport. I am lucky to have many chances to practice my ability to shot someone is doing sport. You might not really seen any blur effect as it seen in the first picture but for me it shows a movement of one of our friends played squash and he tried to catch the ball. I had a couple of pictures showing any other movement of him but I pick this one because I really could sense the hard work he put on to be able to beat the other player and also the shape of his body is quite fascinating for me 🙂 About this game, I had tried once before in Dubai when P thought me, but it was quite hard. It seems really simple but trust me you have to be really fit to be able to catch every single shot that your opponent gives you in every corner that sometimes it is impossible to reach. I wish I could continue learning this sport, not now… but maybe later on -when I have my other dreams come true- 🙂
Other comment sport that I’ve been witnessed was cross country skiing. I am so fortunate that when the international ski competition was held in Sweden, I was able to see it and taking photos of many international level skier, one of them -as seen in this picture- was Marit Bjorgen. She was fast… I was amazed how fast she was that day and yeah… she is the best skier so it is kind of understood if she got that ability to beat others with a huge marginal in time. I got many pictures of Petter Northug -best skier in man category- but I think a picture of Marit is better than a picture of him.
My last but not least picture is taken when I was in Gotland for the first time, back in 2009. It was a fire attraction from one of many groups that perform during Medieval Festival week. You might ask me a question, why did I decide to put this picture which is not matching with the other pictures… well, because I would like to show you that sometimes you can get a very good movement picture without you are trying so hard to capture it. I shot this one without having any expectation for it and guess what I got… a quite a good picture showing of a movement. I know it is a bit of but ehm… still fits in the theme which is movement 😀
Glad to be back here and hopefully… will have the time and idea to keep writing something here, maybe some information about Stockholm or maybe just every day journey. Well… we will see what tomorrow brings 🙂 See you in another post!
