If we talk something purple, what can be more perfect than The London 2012 Summer Olympics 🙂 Yes, I was there to enjoy the atmosphere which is I could see a purple color everywhere. The theme of Olympics games this year is purple I guess 😀 Yet, another late post for the weekly photo challenge which was last week but I think it is better late than never 🙂 *another excuse* haha!! But really, we start the day quite early in the morning and ended late in the night. Well, actually there were so many interesting games that we would like to watch so literary I didn’t have time to sit and write a blog 🙂 I’m sorry but it is better to say the truth rather than tell lies 😀
When I read the challenge, my mind was going straight away to London where we spent 6 days and 5 nights stay as stated in my other post. It was great experience to be honest, to see the Olympic for real and not only on TV. We didn’t get any tickets to go inside the Olympics park which located just 2 station away from the apartment we rent for our holiday this time. It was our fault, we thought that we will able to get in without any problem at all, not to see the game but to see the Olympics Village/Park only but our prediction was completely wrong. The day pass or the evening pass was sold out and it was impossible to get anywhere inside the venues too. But we were happy to capture and feel the atmosphere in Hyde Park, where we watch the games through 5 huge screens. I can not describe in words what an experience it was. We love it every single moment and there is a promise to come back there soon, well… at least not to wait for 5 years time haha! 😀 These are pictures from our second day in Hyde Park, as you see there is purple every where from the sponsorship’s flag, the bench, the staff -who guided us and gave all the information about what is happening during the Olympics- till a cute Cadbury car which was parked in front of a giant Cadbury stand inside the park. This trip gives us hope that we will be able to see the next Olympics which held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil 2016 but this time we will make sure that we will have the tickets before we decide to book our flight 😀 We learned from the mistake for sure haha!
Another challenge is accomplished even though it is so very late. I’m back in Stockholm now and I’ll make sure to update this blog regularly. See you in another post and thank you for your time reading my weekly photo challenge, friends! 🙂
