Today as I mentioned on the title of this post is all about gardening 🙂 Yesterday, I was telling you about my preparation to welcome Spring time. As I said too that I’ll post some picture about my DIY seed pots. So, here you are… I am really satisfied with the result. They look really cute, aren’t they? 🙂
I made only 20 pots yesterday and I would like to make some more because as soon as the seed is growing big enough then I will have to make another batch of it. Actually it is really easy to make this pots, you just need a plastic bottle filled with water so it becomes heavy enough to push the paper down, and of course the main actor is newspaper. You can check how to make it in Youtube, there are many videos you can choose. Most of them using tape to hold the edge of the paper but I didn’t use tape at all because I didn’t have special tape that easy to decompose. As you can see they stand perfectly because the soil is heavy enough and the edge looks fine 🙂
You can use any water bottle or even used jar. Well, at first I would like to but the 3 pot maker set that I found in the internet but when I saw the price I have to think twice before buy it 😀 It is quite expensive, it cost me minimum 349 SEK and I don’t think that I need it right now. I am happy with the tool that I got 😀 Maybe next year I will buy those 3 pot maker set. You see on my picture, I cut the news paper in its length becomes 2 parts. I don’t have any pictures when I was rolling the paper on the water bottle but as I said before that you can see in Youtube and believe me, if I can do it, you definitely can do it too 🙂
I plant so many seed because I am not confident enough to admit that I have green finger. Once I have been told that I have fire in my hands because I kill so many plants that we had before but lately I can see that I am getting better. So it is not about a success result but it is about keep trying and never give up! If all of them grow then my house will be a flower shop haha 😀
I used one of corners in our house to be a place for my seeds to grow. I spent almost the whole day to fix my plantation and it felt like I am in my meditation moment. It is only me talking to the plants and seeds 😛 We went to Bauhaus, one of the garden shops to buy some more soil and I was like a boy in the candy store! So many things to see and I would like to stay a bit longer but the thought of my seed made me go home. Next time will go again and check what is new for garden department. Pssssttt! This shop is one of shops that my father in law put in his favorite list, so do I 😀 Every time Mom and Dad come to visit us in Stockholm, we always go to this store, sometimes we don’t buy anything. Just love to hang around there *tell me about that* haha!
Actually I have a couple of small plastic pots that people use to plant seed but it wasn’t enough to accommodate my needs. Ups, I have another small green house to plant seed too and I bought it 2 years ago! I used it once when we still lived in the apartment but it wasn’t really a success. Hopefully this time, it gives me a better result.
Today I plant spices, vegetables and some flowers. As you see on the picture above *first picture* or the one on the right. I put them together even though I know they don’t have the same length of time to grow. But I can’t have the whole 49 holes only for 1 type of plants 😀 so here it is my mix seeds in my small green house. To be honest, I can wait till I see their first leaf, it is going to be so much fun!!!!
In our windows in the front of the house, I plant seeds straight away in the pots and leave it outside but of course I choose the one which actually allowed to seed it outside the house. For the back yard, I have to wait till they strong enough to face the weather that could still a bit chilled at night.
Well…I did my part today and hope you did yours 🙂 Continue to have such a brilliant weekend friends! See you soon!
