At 10 degree warm

crocusToday was absolutely fantastic! We had 10 degree Celcius (you don’t see any minus right?! :D) and perfect day to do some outside activities such as… not so far away with garden!! Again? Yesss… but this time we did it outside. Yesterday was about seeding in the kitchen and today… another seeding outside. P did so well cleaning up our back yard, it looks really nice now. Can’t wait for our flowers blooming, ups… actually they have bloomed!

My Crocus in the left side of the garden and it looks so pretty. I saw my tulips are growing well and hopefully in a couple of weeks I’ll see which of them are survive from the weather, deer and other animal 😀 I think I told you guys that some of my tulips got eaten by deer and some animal. They ate the bulb and leave the top of the plants. Well…. actually I can’t blame them. They must be hungry after such a long winter 🙂 Lucky me I have more than 30 bulb of tulips left, it is enough to make our garden colorful. I saw some wildflowers too and they are so tulipscute grows between those grass, gives some color contrast and I can’t help myself to capture them. Honestly speeking, I felt so happy to see those plants and gardening gives another meaning in life. Taking care of them is something that I enjoy now, before I didn’t feel the same. I don’t know what is the reason, but again… gardening is like meditation time for me 😀 I plant some more seeds and this time is the seed that supposed to be seeding outside. I just learn that there are many type of seeds, some of them is needing to seed inside before the month of April and some of them you can plant straight away outside. Well… I am not expert at all about wildflowergardening but it is the information that I got from the package haha! We will see if I interpret the information right 😛

Another thing that we did today was going to one of the shop called Plantagen where I become a member. I saw in the morning a leaflet from this shop about strawberry plants which the price is quite cheap. For 6 healthy plants we have only pay for 59 SEK. I know, some of you might say… ‘You can get it for free from friends or family!’ I know that, I even got offered from my mother in law to take their strawberry plants to put it in our garden but… they live about 650 km from strawberryStockholm. I think it is better to buy this time 😀 Maybe when we have time to visit them, I can sneak some of their strawberry plants to complete our collection 😀

This fruit is one of my favorite berries. From the beginning, I always wanted to have strawberry plant if we buy a house with garden. Last year we found this wonderful nest and it has a garden, so this year… my dream to have strawberries plants come true! Another dream is in my hand now 🙂 Hubby remind me to put some net over the plants because it will be hard for birds and other animal to eat it when it starts to have rhubabfruits hanging around the plant. I decided to put them in the white big pot because our big wooden plot will be for my vegetables and spices. I saw in internet that actually you can plant them in a big pot. I will try to find some wild strawberry *smultron in Swedish* plant to have it in the garden. Another favorite of mine 😀

You know what?! I noticed that our rhubarbs are there already!!! There more than 4 plants I saw this afternoon. Can you see those pink nobs on the ground, yes… it is our rhubarb!  I will make lots of rhubarb pie this year hehehe. I use the left side of our wooden wooden deckdeck as my seeding spot. As you can see, the left side is place for my seed pots and right side is for the grill and my strawberry plants stay in the edge of wooden deck where they can get lots of sun for the whole day. The grass is not green yet but next weekend we will put some water on it and hopefully the will show how green they are in the summer.

Tonight we don’t do any grill food because the barbecue food from yesterday is still enough for two of us. Yup… we had our premier for grilling yesterday and it was sooooooooo good to taste a proper barbecue dinner 🙂

Weather forecast show that next week we will have Spring season *finally* and hopefully nothing come up to destroy the hope of sun and another outside activity in our garden 🙂 See you again soon friends!
