What was happening lately?

What was happening lately?Well in this post I will tell you about my garden and some information about the upcoming event, Midsummer celebration. Shall we start?

Last week, my parents in law were in Stockholm for a visit and they help me a lot with gardening and fixing the house. They gaves me some tips about planting potatoes and beetroot. As you see, I have tulips almost in every corner of the house and I was so happy to see those tulips bloomed beautifully! I bought them in Lidl and you won’t believe it if I say that I bought them for only SEK 12 for a bag of bulps, even some of them had 15 bulps of tulips inside. I was not so confidence that they will bloom this year because this What was happening lately?will be my first year doing some gardening. But I was wrong!!!! I was amazed that not only tulips which made my garden pretty but also other flowers aaaaannndd strawberry!

I was like a child at candy land when I saw some of the strawberries fruit were slightly red. I took this picture last week and actually we’re already harvested twice so far and the taste was heaven!!!! There are more than 20 fruits left and can’t wait to harvest another batch of my strawberry plants. I have only 6 of them but I hope I will have more by the end of this month. Because I don’t have so much land to play with, I plant them on a big flower pot which I think it is good enough What was happening lately?to make them grow healthy. I prove it especially to myself that I can be a gardener despite many plants died in the past because of me.

Now, we are going to talk about Midsummer celebration. Next weekend (note: not this weekend). Sweden will celebrate our yearly event to marks the longest day this year which will happen on 21st of June. P and I don’t have any plan yet but maybe we will visit one of our friends and celebrate it together. Every year is always different, some of them left a good memories and some of them was only an ordinary memory. The celebration on the picture was one of the memorable moments. I took almost one thousand pictures in one day, which is not actually weird for me because my hobby is to capture every movement I saw in one occasion. Some people will call me nuts but for me… It is completely normal!!!!

What I love about this celebration? Not only you can see how the sun is never disappear What was happening lately?from the sky, but on this celebration you have chance to catch up with your family and friends. The other factor will be you can share much joy and happiness with stranger, dance, holding hands and sing together while you go around the Midsummer pole. You will not feel that you didn’t born in this country!

Is there any place that I could recommend? Ohhhhh yes!!!!!!

Skansen, a place that I mention a lot in this blog, is one of the place that I could recommend you to celebrate Midsummer. Not only things that I mentioned above, but you will What was happening lately?experience how pretty the national dresses of many parts of Sweden are. They are so colourful and it will make you wants to take a snap of it. Beside the celebration, you can have a stroll or two around this amazing place. Usually in the summer time, the market inside Skansen is open and you can taste some of the original food of Scandian country, one of them is elk/moose meat! If you want to bring something for your family and friends, you can buy hand made souvenir in this pplace too that I’m sure will remain you about how beautiful Sweden is.

Dalarna, is one of many places if you are happened to be in the North part of Sweden. Here you can see the old style of Midsummer celebration. Complete with the parade, the song and the rowing boat full of people wearing traditional clothes and play violin. If you want to truly experience the celebration, Dalarna is the best option to do it! Not only about the What was happening lately?event but in this area you will have chances to see the traditional houses and Dalarna offer you experience that you can not get it in other city in Sweden. In one sentence, this place is amazing!!!!!

Those are the two places that I highly recommend someone who would like to celebrate in a traditional Swedish way. Of course there are other places that you can visit and celebrate this occasion and I am sure they will give you something that you proudly bring tell to others who haven’t got the same chance yet.

So, what are you waiting for? Start your plan how you would like to celebrate Midsummer!!
