Early May in Stockholm

Early May in Stockholm12 May 2014, one not so sunny morning… I decided to start early to have our everyday walk with baby A. The clock was 09:30 and metro station was packed with people who wanted to go to work and you can tell that I was not alone. My start line was at T-Centralen, down to Kungsträdgården *The King Garden* and continued down towards the water front till passed the Djurgården bridge. I had my camera with me with thought that if I saw a beautiful moment then I’ll try to capture it.

Early May in StockholmThe first spot that locked my eyes was the alleys in the middle of Strandvägen road. I used to take pictures in the autumn season with my friends and never been capturing the early summer season here. It seemed that I missed a great season these past years. I grabbed my camera and started to shoot, when I saw the result, damn…there was something special there! I questioned myself:

“Where have you been Deni? Don’t you see that this late spring, early summer as beautiful as autumn?!”

Yeah, I made a mistake to not taking a chance to point out my camera’s lenses on this scenery. Well, I learned now and it would be on my agenda every year to try to have stroll and capture another season, another time here. Who said that one can not learn in every single day in one’s life?!

I took my feet to cross the Djurgården Bridge and I saw some tourists had started their holiday by walking in front of me. I didn’t recognize some of their language but I could tell that they were looking forward to explore Stockholm more. I guess they will start their Early May in Stockholmjourney in Skansen, the Open Air Museum in Stockholm. I stopped in the middle of the bridge and captured many boats which parked along the Strandvägen road. As you see the sun was a bit shy to show us its beauty but hey…nothing can stop us to enjoy the day!

This time I decided to go in a different way, went through another alley and so sudden I saw something that caught my eyes, it was a park benches! I put up again my camera and started to make some click and yeah…I was happy with the results! Some people passed me and I could tell that they were surprise to see me almost touch the ground with a big belly to get the best angle. It brought smile on Early May in Stockholmmy faces because I know that not so many pregnant lady doing an acrobatic position when they have an almost 35 week’s baby inside the womb. But yet again, I didn’t care and continued to do the action. Amazingly, I didn’t feel tired or hard to get down as low as I can with baby A inside. I thanked baby A for behaving really well and helped me to keep my activities!

I went through the garden in front of Nordiska Museum and found some interesting object to capture. Flowers, tree’s buds and people who did their morning walk as I did. In front of me, I saw a couple who walked with their dog and sometimes they gave a chance to the dog to sniff around and marked the area. It is common here in Sweden to have a morning walk Early May in Stockholmevery day especially when you are retired from your job. Seeing them in front of me, remind me of my parents in law. They too love to have morning motion every single day and no wonder now that baby A loves to catch fresh air every time we got the chance.

On the way home, I saw these two ducks enjoying their time together. I took a couple of pictures of them and seemed they didn’t care at all. Well, I just remember that usually in this time of year, I would see many of them in this park but strangely enough I met only 4 this time. We will see later on in the summer time, if the number of ducks which hanging around this park will increase. Can’t wait till summer comes and have a walk with baby AEarly May in Stockholm and P for sure! This year will be an interesting year for our little family, many changes for a better life and challenging moments as parents. Writing another chapter of our journey, three of us…every step we made and every moment we passed.

It took me about 2,5 hours to walk for 7,66 km. I know it is a very slow pace for a normal person but hey… it is not about the time, the most important thing is spending the day with some exercise which is good and could help me later on when the time comes to deliver our little one. For sure we will do it again as soon as we got time and the weather on Early May in Stockholmour side. Actually, any weather could do as long as it is not raining outside! This week, I don’t think so I would able to do it because my parents in laws are here and I rather spending time with them than alone hehehe.

Next week I have another plan to go to Skansen and to buy the yearly membership card and who knows, this time I would found something new of that place. Last year, I didn’t have a chance at all to visit that museum. I’m sure the Magnolia flowers are blooming already and if I am lucky, I still can capture some tulips. I never measure my walk in Skansen so it would be interesting to do it next visit.

The clock is ticking and time to catch some sleep. Tomorrow, we have a full backet of activities from fixing the wood deck and having a lunch trip to Drootningholm. Hopefully, I would able to write some more but we will see!Early May in Stockholm

Have a great weekends friends!!
