Dandelion: a Silent Dancer Who Wears Tutu

One fine day on the way home from my morning walk, my eyes caught this beautiful Dandelion flower stood alone in the field near our home. It was located quite far away from the other dandelions and when I took a look closely, it told me a story. I could see that it looks like a dancer who wears tutu skirt, suddenly I said to myself, Dandelion: a silent dancer who wears tutu. After that… I found myself spent more than one hour just to capture it from many different angles to be able to tell you the same story as it told me.

As we know that dandelion is a flower that no body wants to have in their garden, even though this beauty has so many benefits. One of them is you can use as a tea and more about what are hidden in a dandelion you could read it here. I wouldn’t say that I want to have them in my garden, in fact I take them off as soon as I see the leaves on the grass. Honestly, I myself never try to make something of it but I know couple of friends use this yellow flower as herbs or salad in their meal. Maybe next year, I should begin to try to use them in our daily life. Why not this year? I didn’t see any fresh flowers around us anymore, only flowers that left as you see on pictures on this post.

Maybe you see that dandelion on my pictures are not the perfect one but its imperfection that made me enjoy taking shot after shot. Through my eyes and camera, I could see the beauty from the imperfection that this flower has. As you read on the tittle of this blog that the story is about a silent dancer who is brave enough to stand alone in the field. I could sense that this dancer doesn’t really care what others think about her, she keeps dancing with the wind which blows slowly and help her to more her body. She was fine even though she is separated with others dandelions which stood in the other side of the field. Around her was lots of higher plants such as maple trees, lilac bushes, grass and many other wild plantation. The dancer showed me that it is okay to be different, it gave me understanding that you still can give something even though you are not perfect. Dandelion never expect something in return, she loves to give and give and make people who stop by feel the joy of her dance and smile is definitely there for those who is able to capture the story. I was there and I felt joy and peaceful feeling and wanted to dance with dandelion. Therefore… I would like to say thank you to the silent dancer who wears tutu.

I know, it sounds weird but that was the story that played in my head on those minutes I spent in the field. Some people who walked with their dogs passed me with smile, no chat this time, just exchange some gleam to each other. As if they understand that I am in another world and they don’t want to disturb my conversation with dandelion. Or maybe they just getting used to see me with my camera, going around the area and stay for sometimes in one spot. I am so happy to make a decision to bring my camera that morning. Maybe if I didn’t have my eyes extension, I would missed the great story behind a Dandelion flower. When I took my step away from there, I found myself said softly to the dancer…

”See you next year silent dancer with another story to tell, another joy to share!”

Smile was still on my face until I turn in the corner of the road towards our house. The story is stay with me and it plays everytime I see these photos. I don’t know if you are agree with me but hopefully you would enjoy to see these shots as I do. If you happen to have a similar story, do share with me…because I would be more than happy to sit down and listen to it. Good bye for now and would see you again in another tale.
